Driftwood Art
When I was about 10 years old my neighbor had a trench dug for drain tile. This left clumps of clay laying on the ground. I used a screw driver to carve terraces and stairs that wound around the clay clod, making multi-level living spaces out of them.

In 2002 I got the idea to do something similar with driftwood. I figured I could carve paths and stairs onto them as well as worshipping places and make it look as if these things "happened" from fairies living on the wood. I also got the idea to glue dried plants onto the wood that would have been landscaping that the fairies had done. The driftwood looks like the avatar at the top of the menu to the left before the plants are glued on.

This is the only example I have of this idea so far. I have more driftwood to use but haven't taken the time yet. This piece was cherished by my Mom so I gave it to her as a gift. CLICK on it to learn more.
